Character Development- Monthly goals for the school
New Years Resolution- will be merged with the 10 x 10 campaign
Food Drive-support a local food bank in Toronto
Plastic Waste Campaign-eliminate plastic bottles at McMurrich
Light Off Campaign-reduce energy use in the school

We the "Be The Change" Student Committee of McMurrich believe in building a community of respect and empathy.As a leadership group we are determined to promote the 8 millennium developmental goals and empower our community to make a difference. Throughout this year,we will learn how to become globally aware on issues of child labour, gender inequalities and polluted water by implementing initiatives toward the Alternative Income Program, Adopt-A-Village campaign.We are children helping children.

Robi-Ann: We are very involved in building awareness to initiate the Food drive.
Alice: The Be The Change committee at McMurrich are hoping that we could make a donation because this cause is extremely important to us.

I really like your speech because of it goes together. I like what Kyra is saying in the first speech but maybe if you havn't done so already you can start with Kyra saying: Hello, we are 4 representatives from the Be The Change Group at McMurrich Public School, and we want to help our local community". Also i think maybe you could let Marc say something more?

I agree with Christine, by saying you are 4 of the 18 members in the BTC Student Committee you are demonstrating that you are part of a whole committee. It is also important that all members in the group have an equal voice and share the responsibilities. Great Job!

the food drive was a great success as to what i think, all because we all worked together and got it done, knowing that we ONlY had like 4 or 5 days to get it going and actually start t until the winter holidays. jenny
